Channel Angels Invests In Conversational AI, Chat Software Startup Dashbot
Dashbot, a conversational AI (artificial intelligence) startup, has raised $6 million in Series A funding led by Florida Funders, with participation from Bessemer Venture Partners. Channel Angels Founder Joe Panettieri participated in the round.
Dashbot’s software is a data platform that "ingests, cleans, stores, and processes any type of Conversation Data — such as from speaking to Alexa, talking to a customer service rep over the phone, or typing into a chatbot on a website,” the startup notes. From there, the software enables customers to optimize their chatbot response effectiveness, Dashbot asserts.
In a prepared statement about the funding, Dasbot CEO Andrew Hong said: “We’re excited to continue scaling to meet the current demand with this new round of funding. Conversational AI adoption exploded with the pandemic across nearly every industry, and businesses were largely in the dark. Now, they can communicate better with their customers using AI.”
Dashbot, founded in 2020, is based in San Francisco, California. The company has raised $14 million since inception. Earlier investors included Scrum Ventures and Samsung.
